collage challenge

My collage challenge… 30 days, 30 mixed media collages. One day in March I walked into my studio and I wanted to do something completely different. I felt stuck… my muse was vacationing and I remembered something I had read by Chuck Close. “Inspirations are for amateurs; the rest of us just keep showing up and get to work…” For the next 30 days I photographed, sorted, cut, pasted, painted, drew, and collected images and ideas until at the end of each day I had a finished piece. Each piece is 6”x6” mounted on a wood cradle. As a finale I then posted daily on  instagram. 

A thread of a story is contained within, family, friends and stories fueled this project.
