reflections…

Remember the last time you had a dream… one that when you awoke you couldn’t quite remember all of it? Images slowly coming into focus and once again you were swirling about in your childhood. Those nighttime memories, full of colorful moving snapshots that carry you back to another time, another place. Certain elements start to make an impression on your mind and just as quickly, they disappear. Not gone, but if you keep your eyes closed long enough you might just remember some of them. Well, that is what this series is all about. This piece, first reflection..., is the beginning of such a juncture. This moment was influenced by events both current and historical. As with most of my work it is symbolic in nature. I often use allegory as a device to tell my story.

I have created three reflections so far and I believe there are more to come. This edition is a 12”x12” intaglio etching & aquatint, printed on arches moulin du gue with gampi chin colle. This is a limited edition of 13 prints.
